We have recently seen up upsurge in orders for our high density fibre cement cladding product, Equitone, which has posed the question in our office: could 2017 be the year for projects featuring this versatile, pre-finished solution?
There are many benefits to architects looking to using products such as Equitone. The major one is that it is 100% non-combustible; something that needs to be taken into consideration with project designs following the Lacrosse building fire in 2014 and the subsequent Building Appeals Board ruling last month.
The increased popularity in Equitone could also be due to some of these other beneficial factors: provides a full colour impregnable panel; it is environmentally friendly; has a proven rain-screen system that allows buildings to ‘breath’ naturally and that it provides excellent insulation. It can also be perforated and embossed to add a unique feature to any development.
To show just how stunning Equitone can look, here is a Project News on the Corso North Lakes development designed by PDT Architects and featuring Equitone cladding to achieve a flawless and modern exterior.
