Unlock new design possibilities with Vitraloc

Fairview have launched Vitraloc; a new, affordable and compliant rolled formed steel façade option, and the only one of its kind, featuring a fully tested system.

Extending their range of innovative cladding solutions, Fairview have introduced Vitraloc architectural steel cladding, which offers Designers, Builders and Installers an affordable and compliant rolled formed steel façade option.

Vitraloc is part of Fairview’s extensive product range, sharing the same unique DNA with the distinctive Stryüm aluminium linear wall cladding system.

Made from non-combustible roll-formed steel, Vitraloc provides peace of mind that comes from a tested system and freedom of expression with an extensive range of classic and contemporary colours, textures and finishes.

Speaking to the product’s inception, Fairview’s Product Manager, Bradley Halliday shares that Vitraloc was a response to the current market demand for low-cost roll formed steel options. “Fairview set out to produce a quality product which involved simple installation, endless design possibilities, and peace of mind through its fully tested system” Mr. Halliday said.

Vitraloc makes a visually striking and sophisticated design statement with its distinctive tall sharp ribs and flat smooth pan profiles for that bold modern architectural look.

“Fairview has focused on making product selection simple by offering an extensive range of standardised flashings and two modern profile options, with panels which are suitable for both vertical and horizontal applications” Mr. Halliday said.

Speaking to Vitraloc’s offering, the two modern profiles available include a 38mm Seam panel with a 265mm cover and 25mm Shadow interlocking panels with a 285mm cover to minimise the appearance of oil canning through the use of narrower width profiles.

“The systems have been uniquely designed to accommodate the harsh thermal movement associated with Australian construction, which makes it one of the most stringently tested products of its kind”, Mr. Halliday said.
Leaving little to chance and unlike other options on the market, Vitraloc cladding with its accompanying flashings and accessories forms part of an engineered and tested system, tested to AS/NZS 4284: Testing of Building Facades and includes proprietary components specifically developed to improve performance and enhance appearance through moisture management, thermal and heat management, and thermal movement management.

In today’s architectural space the technical details are as important as the overall project aesthetics. Architects are looking to specify products that tick the box for sustainability, moisture control and fire performance. Vitraloc ticks all those boxes – a safe and compliant choice when deemed non-combustible cladding must be specified for use, such as in mixed-use developments, residential construction, and large-scale government infrastructure projects.

Vitraloc brings to the market a truly unique system, simplistic in its application and diverse in the variety of colours and finishes available, Fairview’s new rolled form steel offers complete peace of mind when it comes to compliance and performance.
