Virtually Indestructible Cladding Popular in Aussie Railways

Written by Laura | Mar 30, 2017 10:37:58 PM

There are many cladding products to choose from for architecturally designed buildings but infrastructure projects require a solution that is high-impact resistant; offers durability in high traffic areas; is non-combustible and comes with an anti-graffiti coating.

Our Vitranamel product ticks all these boxes and more which is why it has been chosen as the preferred cladding product on a number of recent railway projects in NSW such as Leppington and Edmondson Park both of which were newly constructed passenger stations as part of the Transport Construction Authority’s $550m design and construct contract awarded to John Holland for the South West Rail Link.

Vitranamels’ robustness results from the application of a vitreous enamel coating that uses a unique static powder enamelling process, including baking it at 800 degrees! This makes it one of the most durable cladding panels in the world.  The extreme hardiness of the product also more than doubles the warranty period of any ‘standard’ cladding product.

Here’s how Vitranamel performs against Vitradual, our aluminium panel solution that has some similar qualities such as durability and high impact resistant:
