Located in the heart of Canberra’s parliamentary precinct, National Circuit comprises a range of commercial buildings occupied by government departments and corporate tenants.

ISPT is the proud owner of 3-5, 4 and 6 National Circuit.  Taking a proactive approach to managing risk at their properties, ISPT undertook to replace the aluminium composite panels installed on the buildings with solid, non-combustible cladding.

ISPT appointed SHAPE as the head contractor to undertake the replacement works.  Fairview’s Vitradual solid aluminium panel was selected as the replacement product; meeting the criteria of providing a ‘like for like’ finish to the existing façade design, being non-combustible, and a quality panel that will stand the test of time.

Fairview’s 3mm solid aluminium Vitradual panels are NCC compliant, non-combustible, weather-proof, and highly durable. So confident in the build quality and workmanship of Vitradual panels, Fairview offers a minimum 15-year manufacturer direct warranty for added security, convenience, and peace of mind.

With ISPT’s keen focus on sustainability, recycling of the waste cladding was a key consideration for the rectification project.  SHAPE selected Ecoloop for this part of the project.

Ecoloop is Australia’s first Aluminium Composite Panel (ACP) recycling solution for non-compliant cladding waste. Fairview’s proprietary Ecoloop solution reduces the environmental impact of cladding rectification work, diverting 100% of non-compliant cladding waste from landfill while reducing greenhouse gas emissions and natural resource consumption.

3-5 National Circuit, Barton ACT:

Developed by ISPT in 2009 for the Attorney-General’s Department, the Robert Garran Offices features four levels of office accommodation, two levels of basement parking and is walking distance to Parliament House.

5,846 sqm of Vitradual has been supplied in Dark Grey Metallic and Silver Metallic, installed by Canberra Building Services.

4 National Circuit, Barton, ACT

Developed by ISPT in 2012, 4 National Circuit features six levels of office accommodation, a ground floor cafe, landscaped courtyards, community library and child care facilities.

4,136 sqm of Vitradual’s natural copper faced panels were used to replace the architectural fins on the front east and west facades, installed by Aesthetic Building and Facades.

Fairview was also appointed to process the waste copper material via Ecoloop; Australia’s first aluminium composite panel (ACP) recycling solution.

Vitradual’s natural copper faced panel forms part of Fairview’s commitment to innovation and product development. Using new technology as part of the manufacturing process, a thin layer of natural copper is fused to an aluminium layer without the use of adhesive – achieving a 3mm sheet as per our traditional Vitradual product.

Rather than a painted surface, we can provide a natural copper finish that is cost effective, flat and rigid without having to use large quantities of copper (2.7mm aluminium and 0.3 mm copper).

Building 6:

ISPT acquired 6 National Circuit in 2018.  The building features six levels of office accommodation and a ground floor café and restaurant.

The façade was replaced with 1,204 sqm of Vitradual in Sparkling Blue, Silver Metallic, Snow White, and Enigma Black, installed by Canberra Building Services.

All waste cladding was recycled via Ecoloop.
