ROCKWOOL™ Insulation

Material

Stone wool insulation

Fire Performance

ROCKWOOL stone wool is extremely resilient to fire. It works to
contain fire and prevent its spread. At the same time, it does not
contribute to the emission of significant quantities of toxic smoke. Complies with the non combustibility standards of NCC 2022 Volume 1 C2D2 and NCC 2019 Volume 1 C1.9(a) or satisfies the testing criteria outlined in AS 1530.1.

Fixing System

Compatible with numerous cladding attachment systems, the product can be easily fitted around brackets and other details.

Application ROCKWOOL Rainscreen is a stone wool insulation developed specifically for use within ventilated cladding systems. Compatible with numerous cladding attachment systems, the product can be easily fitted around brackets and other details. When tightly butted, adjacent slabs effectively 'knit' together to provide a continuous insulating layer, reducing heat loss that would otherwise be caused by gaps.

ROCKWOOL™ Rainscreen

Non-combustible insulation for ventilated façades

ROCKWOOL Rainscreen is a stone wool insulation developed specifically for use within ventilated cladding systems. ROCKWOOL Rainscreen is non-combustible – it does not develop toxic smoke nor promote flame spread, even when directly exposed to fire. It also contributes to a building’s energy efficiency with its reliable thermal performance. It is moisture repellent, allowing the structure to maintain breathability and dryness. The superior performances of ROCKWOOL Rainscreen ensure that its insulation value can be maintained for a long time.

ROCKWOOL™ RAINSCREEN Key Benefits

ROCKWOOL have been applying the 7 strengths of stone to the world’s biggest challenges for decades and ensuring that our product portfolio stays relevant to these most pressing issues. By seeing these challenges as opportunities to improve the lives of people around the world, ROCKWOOL stone wool products have become central to conversations on issues like climate change, health and wellbeing, urbanisation and resource scarcity.

  • FIRE RESILIENCE: ROCKWOOL stone wool is non-combustible and has a melting point of over 1000℃. In an event of a fire, ROCKWOOL insulation can reduce spread of flames and provide precious time to save your family and your home.

  • WATER PROPERTIES: Engineered to repel water, ROCKWOOL stone wool can defend valuable assets from the weather. This helps protect the long-term health of buildings and their occupants.

  • THERMAL PROPERTIES: Temperature maintenance can dramatically reduce heating, cooling, and ventilation costs, and reduce a building’s carbon footprint.
  • ROBUSTNESS: ROCKWOOL stone wool’s dimensional stability means its performance remains unchanged, decade after decade, ensuring maintenance savings throughout a building’s long life span.
  • ACOUSTIC CAPABILITIES: ROCKWOOL stone wool are high-density, which makes them extremely resistant to airflow and excellent at noise reduction and sound absorption, meaning that even the nosiest infrastructure sounds quieter.
  • CIRCULARITY: ROCKWOOL have developed our technology in a way that allows us to use waste from other industries as alternative raw material. ROCKWOOL is 100% recyclable, making it a sustainable and environmentally friendly material.

  • AESTHETICS: ROCKWOOL have harnessed the natural beauty and adaptability of stone to make it easy to design and customise in an almost unlimited range of colours, shapes, and forms.
