Clayton terracotta facade system offers sunscreen and rainscreen protection, providing terrific thermal insulation, noise reduction and weather resistance.  Eco-friendly and low maintenance, they're a particularly strong solution for high-traffic areas such as educational institutions, hospitals and type A, B and C constructions. This natural cladding has a simple rail and clip-in installation system and can be used for both exterior and interior facades.

Frame 5

A natural-looking masonry facade cladding, Smartbric is Fairview’s innovative brick system offering grouted traditional brick slips or modern Rapid mortar-less alternatives. Forget about mess and costly pointing, Smartbric installation works off a universal rainscreen track or rail system and uses an interlocking brick tile profile and a ‘shadow’ groove to create a shadow line mortar effect. This natural cladding system improves a building’s energy efficiency and delivers superior weatherproofing and ventilation in expedited timeframes.  Available in various colours and made in Australia using local clay (contemporary imported colours are also on offer).

Group 41

Premium-quality, pre-finished fibre cement cladding panels, Fairview Genesis are non-combustible, scratch, graffiti, and impact-resistant. Made in Europe and anticipated to last at least 50 years, Genesis boasts a unique colour-coded rivet system that pulls fixings up to the same tension, helping the panels expand and contrast in response to changing temperatures. Available in a range of colours and textures, this remarkable natural cladding provides specifiers with a wealth of design options suitable for large-scale builds. Compliant with AS 1530.3 for non-combustibility and AS 4284 for waterproofing, Genesis is installed on a ventilated facade system.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is natural cladding?

Natural cladding refers to exterior wall or façade materials derived from organic or raw sources, such as terracotta, brick or cement. These materials undergo minimal processing and retain their original characteristics, adding an authentic biophilic element to a build.

What is the best type of natural cladding?

The best type of natural cladding depends on your building’s practical requirements and aesthetic goals. If you require natural-looking, affordable rainscreen cladding, we recommend Smartbric. If you’re after exceptionally durable and strong panels that will develop a lovely patina over time, we recommend Genesis. If you want earthy, warm cladding panels that are cost-effective, we suggest Clayton Terracotta.

How do you install exterior wall cladding?

Each natural cladding product comes as a full facade system with a comprehensive installation guide. Please check our facade resources directory to download the installation guides.

Is natural cladding suitable for large buildings?

Yes, all Fairview natural cladding systems are suitable for type A, B and C constructions. Terracotta, brick and fibre cement are popular choices for large-scale builds with high foot traffic including schools, hospitals and community buildings.
