NEXTDC Sydney Data Centre (S2)

About the project

NEXTDC S2 is a major data centre facility located in Macquarie Park, Sydney. Designed by Greenbox Architecture and built by Multiplex, the facility combines large-scale digital infrastructure with a distinctive architectural identity.

Design Intent

S2 was designed to move beyond the traditional industrial appearance of data centres, using bold facade elements and a dynamic lighting installation to create a strong presence within its urban setting.

Outcome

Fairview supplied Vitradual solid aluminium facade panels in Poppy Red, Smoke Silver Metallic and Satin Black Metallic.

The combination of bold colour and metallic finishes complements the building’s architectural form and integrated lighting, while Vitradual provides the durability and precision required for the large-scale facade.
