About the project
Aunty Agnes Shea High School is a contemporary public secondary school designed for up to 800 students. Designed by CK Architecture and delivered by Hindmarsh, the school reflects Ngunnawal Country through colour, materiality and form.
Design Intent
Developed in collaboration with Ngunnawal cultural advisors, the facade draws inspiration from the native grassy woodlands and six-season calendar of Ngunnawal Country.
Changing colours, textures and patterns informed the building envelope, creating a strong connection to the surrounding landscape while meeting the durability and performance requirements of a modern education facility.
Outcome
Installed by Forme Facade, Fairview supplied Vitracore G2 and Vitraloc facade systems in Monument Grey, Olive Grove, Pottery Beige, Lupin White and Aqua.
The combination of systems and carefully selected colour palette helped translate the architect’s vision into a distinctive facade with depth, rhythm and movement.
Working closely with the project team, Fairview provided technical support and design flexibility from concept through to construction, helping deliver a durable, compliant facade that celebrates local culture and strengthens the school’s identity.
