About the project

The refurbishment of Parramatta Police Station modernised the appearance of this key civic facility in Sydney’s growing Parramatta centre. Designed by Group GSA, built by ADCO Constructions and installed by Durnco Group, the project introduced a distinctive new facade while retaining the building’s strong civic presence.

Design Intent

The refurbishment called for a contemporary facade with depth and character, combined with the durability and low-maintenance performance required for a high-use government facility.

Outcome

Fairview supplied 1,116m² of Vitradual solid aluminium panels in Rust Patina.

Developed to replicate the character of naturally aged metal, the Rust Patina finish creates a warm, textured appearance without the maintenance requirements typically associated with weathered steel.
