Fairview supplied Genesis for the newly completed Residential Eating Disorders Centre (REDC) in Charlestown. Named Baiyangbaiyaang—an Aboriginal word meaning “butterfly”—this two-storey facility is the first publicly funded service of its kind in NSW. Designed to support individuals aged 16 and over with diagnosed eating disorders, the 12-bed centre offers evidence-based care in a residential, home-like setting. Genesis was selected to contribute to the centre’s welcoming and calming architectural design, supporting the therapeutic intent of the space.
