Ahead of the National Construction Code (NCC) being released in February 2019, the Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) yesterday announced to the industry what you can expect from the 2019 edition of the new Code.
Among several new changes, the statement confirms that the deemed-to-satisfy non-combustible clause C1.9(e)(vi) for bonded laminate materials will remain in the NCC 2019 following a thorough assessment by the ABCB and consultation with industry professionals as well as extensive research into the facts relating to the valued role of this clause and its wide use in the Australian construction market.
The news confirms that our leading deemed-to-satisfy aluminium panel, Vitracore G2, retains its multiple paths to compliance for specifiers as it has done since its launch in 2014.
Fairview extends their thanks and respect to all those who contributed to the industry-wide code review and to ensuring the protection of Australia’s building infrastructure and its occupants.
