Launch of Vitradual, a unique, non-combustible, solid aluminium cladding product

Today marks the official launch of Vitradual, a 3mm non-combustible aluminium cassette cladding system that is compliant with the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and 100% non-combustible. This unique product, that provides an alternative to ACM panels, has been developed by Fairview in consultation with industry experts over the past 18 months.

The unique benefit of Vitradual over similar solid aluminium products is that it can be fabricated after coating, unlike traditional powder-coated aluminium. This has major advantages during construction as it minimises lead times and reduces error costs.

The first project to reap the benefits of Vitradual is the Nero Apartments in Queensland's riverfront precinct of Newstead. The hotel-style luxury apartments are currently under construction and feature a Vitradual façade designed by Ellivo Architects in Light Gold Metallic. The sparkling Vitradual panels add a touch of glamour to the construction that sits right in the heart of this dynamic and exciting location.

Andrew Gillies, CEO of Fairview Architectural commented: "We have spent time developing a product that is solid aluminum but has the ease of use, flexible installation and wide range of finishes that has made our aluminium composite products Vitracore G2 and Vitrabond so popular in the industry".

The launch of Vitradual comes just a month after Fairview announced the acquisition of STRYUM, an intelligent non-combustible aluminium cladding system, from Vitekk Industries. The Stryum and Vitradual products complement Fairview's current product range which also features natural stone cladding, terracotta tile, compressed fibre cement, sandwich panel and much more.
