Lalor Secondary College 

About the project

The new Health and Fitness Centre at Lalor Secondary College in Victoria forms part of the school’s major redevelopment, supporting student wellbeing, physical education and community use. Designed by ClarkeHopkinsClarke and constructed by SJ Higgins, the facility combines functionality with a contemporary architectural identity.

Design Intent

The project required a durable, low-maintenance facade suited to a busy education environment, while balancing natural warmth with bold architectural contrast.

Outcome

Fairview supplied Genesis through-coloured fibre cement and Vitradual solid aluminium panels across the building.

The facade features 700m² of Genesis 'Raw' Earth, 630m² of Genesis 'Raw' Light Slate and 400m² of Vitradual Dark Grey Metallic, combining the natural texture of fibre cement with the sleek finish of aluminium.
