Solara FAQs
-
What is Fibrefast?
Fibrefast is a prefinished, factory-painted compressed fibre cement facade system designed to provide a fast, cost-effective cladding solution for commercial and residential projects. The panels arrive ready to install, eliminating the need for onsite painting and reducing construction time.
-
What are the main benefits of Fibrefast compared to onsite painted panels?
Fibrefast panels are factory finished, delivering a consistent coating and colour that is difficult to achieve with onsite painting. This approach improves finish quality, reduces labour requirements, minimises weather-related delays, and speeds up project timelines.
-
What types of projects is Fibrefast suitable for?
Fibrefast can be used across Type A and Type B constructions, including education projects, multi-residential developments, shopping & retail and industrial buildings.
-
What sizes are Fibrefast panels available in?
Fibrefast panels are available in:
Thickness: 9mm
Width: 1200mm
Length: 2500mm or 3000mm -
What colours are available?
Fibrefast is available in four stocked colours:
Crystal White
Alpine White
Granite Grey
RavenCustom colours can also be produced to match project requirements. Longer lead times will be applicable for custom colours.

-
Are custom colours available?
Yes. Fibrefast can be colour-matched to project-specific requirements. Custom colour lead times typically apply.
-
How is Fibrefast installed?
Fibrefast panels are installed as a ventilated rainscreen facade system using a face-fixed method with colour-coded screws and supporting top hat sub-framing. This system supports moisture management and building performance.
-
Can Fibrefast panels be cut onsite?
Yes. Fibrefast panels can be cut onsite using standard tools. The combination of a flexible acrylic coating and charcoal baseboard allows panels to be cut cleanly without compromising appearance.
-
Do installers need special tools or training?
No specialist tools are required. Fibrefast can be installed using standard construction tools. Installers should follow the installation guide for correct procedures and detailing.
-
What warranty is offered?
Fibrefast includes a 10-year warranty on the panel and a 5-year warranty on the factory-applied coating, subject to standard terms and conditions.
-
Is Fibrefast compliant with Australian standards?
Fibrefast panels are tested to AS 2908 for fibre cement sheets, are deemed non-combustible, and have been tested to AS 1530.3. The system is also suitable for use in BAL-40 bushfire zones.
-
How does Fibrefast help reduce construction time?
Because the panels arrive factory painted and ready to install, Fibrefast eliminates the need for onsite painting and curing. This reduces coordination between trades, shortens construction schedules, and lowers weather-related delays.
